  1. Fixed an issue where using the Hide Helmet feature caused you to gain no more runes and disable health regeneration from various sources.
  2. Fixed an issue where a large sum of weapons could not be duplicated at the walking mausoleum.

Maps

Enemies

  1. Fixed an issue where the mini-bosses in Deeproot Depths would come back after resting at a grace.
  2. Shortened the duration for Shabriri’s Chosen to appear when encountered for the second (or more) time.
  3. Fixed an issue that would cause Shabriri’s Chosen to not be immune to aggro-breaking effects.

Items

General

  1. Slightly lowered the overall effectiveness of Vigor scaling. (A slight player HP reduction)
  2. Slightly lowered overall player damage output.
  3. Added the indicators in the grace menu under the Flasks field when the player has unused Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears.
  4. Added the previously missing hairstyles that are present on the current patch of the vanilla game.
  5. Added the map discovery indicators for specific locations into the player map.
  6. Wandering Mausoleums have been given a new purpose. - When interacting with a tomb in the wandering mausoleums, the player will be given the option to duplicate the weapon or weapons they currently have equipped in either hand in the current active slots. (the weapons must be visible in game) This feature will make a copy of either one or both melee weapons and place them directly into the player inventory. Shields, bows, crossbows and spell casting tools are not duplicatable in this system and will not be detected in the menu interaction. Each mausoleum is capable of performing one total duplication action. (For either one or two weapons at the time of duplication) When a weapon is duplicated in this way, it will not gain the reinforcement or affinity of the weapon that was equipped. (Unique weapons will retain their affinities)
  7. Added a new system that will prevent the time of day from transitioning from night to day after dying at night.
  8. Added a new option at the Clouded Mirror in Roundtable Hold that allows you to hide/show your headgear.
  9. Expanded the Boss Resurrection Altar mechanic in Roundtable Hold. See the full list in the Enemy category of these patch notes.
  10. Overhauled the Ghost-/Grave Glovewort item and upgraded the logic to work the same way as Somber Smithing Stones do in Convergence. For more details see the Item category of these patch notes.

  7. New characters now spawn with all the spells from their Faint rune. This does not give more spell slots, but makes it so the player has the extra spells in their inventory.
  8. Shortened the wait time before Cragbolt Upwelling’s ground effects explode from 7.5 seconds to 4 seconds and reduced the total number of ground bullets to reduce visual noise.
  9. Added hitboxes to the first portion of the Gurranq’s Upheaval spell and adjusted the damage of both parts to compensate. 
  10. Decreased the healing given to enemies on the Source of Creation spell.
  11. Added an effect to the Bestial Fervor spell that reduces the FP cost of weapon skills and ashes of war by 60%.
  12. Increased the damage of the Incinerate spell.
  13. Decreased the damage of the Ancient Lightning Beacon spell.
  14. Dramatically increased the damage of the Will of the Lichdragon spell.
  15. Slightly decreased the damage of the Godslayer’s Sickle spell.
  16. Added an effect to the Godslayer’s Devotion spell that reduces the FP cost of weapon skills by 80%.

  1. Added a new system to Tier-2 armor sets for non-magic classes. The following armors now have additional abilities as long as the player does not have a weapon equipped that scales with INT or FTH - The details of each item’s abilities can be found in the item’s detailed descriptions. All Tier 2 melee armors have been moved to new locations on the maps to provide a progression for those classes, similar to spell runes for magic classes. The notes at the starting locations for those classes have been updated to reflect this:

 

Ronin Set:

Ronin Gauntlets (Murkwater Catacombs) - Increases STR and DEX by 2 and reduces weapon stamina cost by 2%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Ronin's Resourcefulness - When you use a grease, you gain an effect that reduces the stamina cost of attacks by 100% for 15 seconds.

 

Ronin Greaves (Given by Yura in Liurnia after the invasion encounter)  - Increases STR and DEX by 2 and reduces weapon stamina cost by 2%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Ronin's Reflexes - When you drink a cerulean flask, you gain an effect that dramatically reduces your equip-load and increases dodge-roll effectiveness for 1 minute.

 

Ronin Armor (Dropped by Violet Bloody Finger Eleonora) - Increases STR and DEX by 4 and reduces weapon stamina cost by 4%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Ronin's Precision - When you drink a crimson flask, you gain an effect that increases the poise damage you deal by 30% for 15 seconds.

 

Iron Kasa (Found on the body of Yura after his possession by Shabriri) - Increases STR and DEX by 2 and reduces weapon stamina cost by 2%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Ronin's Spirit - When you drink your flask of wondrous physick, you gain an effect that decreases the FP cost of weapon skills by 100% and increases all damage you deal by 5% for 2 minutes.

 

Scaled Set:

Scaled Gauntlets (Coastal Cave) - Increases STR and DEX by 1 and increases weapon damage by 1%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Istvan's Ingenuity - When you use a grease, you gain an effect that causes your HP, FP and Stamina to regenerate rapidly for 15 seconds.

 

Scaled Greaves (Dropped by Istvan after invasion) - Increases STR and DEX by 1 and increases weapon damage by 1%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Spell Breaker - When you drink a cerulean flask, you gain an effect that causes nearby spell projectiles to deflect away from you for 20 seconds.

 

Scaled Armor (Redmane Castle) - Increases STR and DEX by 2 and increases weapon damage by 2%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Tarnished Endurance - When you drink a crimson flask, you gain an effect that makes you immune to stagger and grants immunity to status build-up for 10 seconds.

 

Scaled Helm (Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs) - Increases STR and DEX by 1 and increases weapon damage by 1%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Mortal Blow - When you drink your wonderous physick, you gain an effect that causes the damage of your next attack with your right-hand weapon to be increased by 200%.

 

Night’s Cavalry Set:

Night’s Cavalry Gauntlets (Limgrave Night's Cavalry Drop) - Reduces weapon stamina cost by 2% and increases weapon damage by 2%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Dogged Pursuit - When you use a grease, you gain an effect that causes you to sprint when your character moves with no stamina cost for 20 seconds.

 

Night’s Cavalry Greaves (East Liurnia Night's Cavalry Drop) - Reduces weapon stamina cost by 2% and increases weapon damage by 2%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Aura of Despair - When you drink a blue flask, you become surrounded by a cursed aura, nearby enemies will deal 15% reduced damage and damage done to them will be increased by 5%. The aura lasts for 45 seconds.

 

Night’s Cavalry Armor (Leyndell, near the Erdtree Sanctuary Grace) - Reduces weapon stamina cost by 4% and increases weapon damage by 4%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Blood Thirst - When you drink a crimson flask, you gain a buff that causes all weapon attacks to recover HP for 20 seconds.

 

Night’s Cavalry Helm (Night's Cavalry in Consecrated Snowfield) - Reduces weapon stamina cost by 2% and increases weapon damage by 2%. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Fell Aspect - When you drink your wonderous physick, you gain an effect that increases your HP, FP and total Stamina by 15%, this lasts for 2 minutes. While this buff is active, you become surrounded by a cursed aura that causes nearby enemies to be slowly drained of their HP.

 

Godrick Knight Set:

Godrick Knight Gauntlets (Morne Tunnel) - Increases STR, DEX and END by 2. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Knightly Redoubt - When you use a grease, you gain an effect that improves your guard stability and causes you to be healed when you block any attack. This effect lasts for 45 seconds.

 

Godrick Knight Greaves (Stormveil Castle Chest) - Increases STR, DEX and END by 2. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Golden Bulwark - When you drink a blue flask, you gain an effect that increases your total HP and Stamina by 10% and increases the damage of guard-counter attacks and thrusting attacks while blocking by 15%. This effect lasts for 1 minute.

 

Godrick Knight Armor (Golden Lineage Evergaol) - Increases STR, DEX and END by 4. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Enduring Legacy - When you drink a crimson flask, you gain an effect that causes 20 stamina recovery and immunity to stagger for 30 seconds.

 

Godrick Knight Helm (Haligtree Town Chest) - Increases STR, DEX and END by 2. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Bloodline's Reckoning - When you drink your wonderous physick, you gain an effect that lasts for 2 minutes that causes a secondary effect each time you block an attack, this secondary effect increases all damage you deal by 3% and can stack with itself up to a total of 30% damage increase. When the duration of the primary effect expires, all stacks will also end.

 

Veteran’s Set:

Veteran’s Gauntlets (Fort Gael Chest) - Increases STR and DEX by 1 and also increases END and VIG by 2. If you do not have a weapon equipped with INT/FTH scaling, this item has the following effect: Offensive Formation - When you use a grease, you and all allies gain an effect that increases all damage you deal by 5% for 30 seconds.

System Changes

  1. As of patch 1.3, Convergence will now use a separate location for its save data. This will help protect the integrity of vanilla save files and help prevent players from being banned from online play.
    (If you wish to load and use your previous save files that are stored in the vanilla location, simply remove the eldenring_alt_saves.dll file from the ConvergenceER folder before launching the mod. However, starting a new character with each patch release is always recommended to prevent potential bugs.) 
  2. Fixed an issue causing the Vanguard starting class to have one too few starting stats. (Now starts with one additional point of endurance)

Item Changes

  1. Reduced the amount of FP recovery on the Ceruleanburst Crystal Tear from 3 per second to 2 per second.
  2. Performed extensive changes to the summoning system. Summoning can now be performed in most locations in the game. Resummoning is now possible after a summon dies or is unsummoned. If summoning is performed in the overworld map, summons will disappear if the player travels far from the original summon location but the player will be able to resummon in that case.
  3. The overall strength of summon reinforcement has been adjusted making summons slightly stronger at lower reinforcement levels and slightly weaker at higher reinforcement levels as compared to vanilla game. 
  4. Added a new series of notes at the starting locations for each class that describe the locations of notable weapons for that class.
  5. Removed multiple instances of the Scorpion Kite Shield that were present on the map.
  6. Fixed an issue causing the Opaline Hardtear physick to not increase physical damage absorption.
  7. Fixed a typo on the Boltdrake Talisman’s description.
  8. Added correct description for the Marionette Soldier Birdhelm.
  9. Fixed an issue causing the loot corpse containing the Sacred Crown Helm and the Ivory Draped tabard to be invisible to the player.

Weapon Changes

  1. Re-added Serpent Hunter to the game. - It is now found just after defeating the Abductor Virgin in Volcano Manor near the mouth of the cave.
  2. Overhauled status build up on weapons - Removed Arcane scaling from status build up on weapons. Most static status build up has been increased by a large amount. (When assessing the status build up system in-game we discovered that many statuses cannot use any kind of stat scaling to increase the amount of build up. We found that this gave certain statuses an advantage over others, so we have removed stat scaling from all statuses but have increased base status build up on weapons to compensate.)
  3. Fixed an issue causing Death Ritual Spear and Rosus’ Axe weapon skills to deal no damage while the weapons are buffed.
  4. Fixed an issue causing the Frenzied Flame Seal to have an incorrect scaling value assigned to one of its affinities.
  5. Corrected several instances of weapon attacks from new weapons where they were not properly benefitting from conditional attack buffs. (ei. Skill attacks, Charged Attacks, etc.) 
  6. The following Katanas now have new animations for their R1 and R2 attacks: Hand of Malenia, Dragonscale Blade, Rivers of Blood and Moonveil.

    With Grace - Adds 20 HP recovery per second,  reduces equip-load by 30% and improves dodge-rolls.
    With Protection - Increases all absorption by 25%, adds poise and adds 35% shield stability.
    With Wisdom - Adds 2 FP recovery per second, increases holy spell damage by 10% and increases casting speed by 30.
    With Power - Adds 15 Stamina recovery, increases holy weapon damage by 10% and increases poise damage of weapon attacks by 10%.

If used with no blessing present, all stats are increased by 2.

Weapon Changes

  2. Created a new scheme for player buff spells. Each buff will now fall into one of seven categories. No two buffs from a single category will stack together. The buff categories are as follows: Defensive Enchantment, Signature Enchantment, Offensive Enchantment, Weapon Enchantment, Shield Enchantment, Perpetual Enchantment and Legendary Enchantment. The enchantment type will be mentioned in each spell’s item description.
  3. Slightly lowered the damage of the Godslayer Sickle incantation.
  4. Fixed an issue causing Stellar Bombardment to deal too much damage.
  5. Fixed an issue causing several offensive spells to be castable in Roundtable Hold.

Map Changes

  1. Reworked the starting class locations so that each character will unlock Roundtable Hold and the closest grace to their warp location after using the golden light warp in the opening room in Chapel of Anticipation.

  2. Fixed an issue with the Grace being available in Astel’s boss room - The grace has now been moved just outside his boss room before entering the fog wall.

  3. Fixed an issue that allowed the Black Blade Kindred near the Sanctum Undercroft to fall off of the arena platform.

  4. Fixed an issue preventing players from looting a chest in Altus Plateau.

  5. Fixed a faulty respawn point that would cause players to be stuck after dying in the Fire Giant fight after respawning him in the boss refight system.

  13. Fixed an issue causing several spell boosting items to not boost their specific spell types.

  28. Reduced the physical damage absorption Chitinous Shell to 20% and the non-physical absorption to 10%.

  29. Reduced the absorption of Blessing of Protection to 15%.

  30. Fixed an issue preventing Blessing of Power from applying its 10% holy damage increase.

  31. Increased the damage of Star Swarm and Founding Rain of Stars.

  32. Reduced the FP cost of Godwyn’s Vengeance to allow it to be toggled off.

  33. Distortion Field no longer deflects friendly spells, it also no longer deals poise damage to enemies within it and also only boosts your physical damage while you are in it by 5%.

  34. Fixed an issue preventing several spells from benefiting from the Godfrey Icon.

  35. Telekinetic Shell no longer causes bleed buildup.

  36. Strangling Briars now pulls aggro and deals less damage per tick.

  37. Curse of Midnight, Quicksilver Affliction, Curse of Putrefaction, Dream Siphon and Psychic Corrosion now pull aggro.

Enemy Changes

  1. Made a potential fix for the Bernahl invasion in Farum Azula not functioning properly. (More testing potentially required.)

  2. Fixed an issue that was causing Ensha to not meet the requirements of his weapon.

  3. Increased the difficulty of all enemies in Limgrave, Stormveil and Lower Siofra.

  4. Fixed an issue causing the Erdtree Sentry in Siofra to drop no runes.

  5. Fixed an issue that would cause Sigur, Night’s Captain to reset his encounter under certain circumstances.

  6. Increased the HP of Morgott, Radagon and Godfrey/Horah Loux by 15%.

  7. Increased the HP of Rennala, Sigur and Skarde by 20%.

  8. Roundtable Knight Vyke now uses the Glaive of the Ancients.

 

Game System Changes:

  1. Fast travel can now be performed while in combat.
  2. Fast travel can now be performed while in dungeons.
  3. Map cursor speed has been increased.
  4. Crafting materials will be auto-looted when you get near them.
  5. All characters have inherent FP regeneration of 1 FP per second.
  6. Vigor scaling has been adjusted to give more HP in the early game.
  7. Defeating any boss will activate the Rune Arc effect.
  8. A boss refight system is available on the ground floor of Roundtable Hold that will allow the player to fight any remembrance boss that they have previously defeated. 
  9. The status effects of the game have been changed:
    A. Scarlet Rot - Deals less damage over its duration.
  1. Poison - Deals more damage over its duration.
  2. Deathblight - Now affects all enemies - Lowers the target’s resistance to status effects by 50% and lowers the target’s absorption by 20% for 20 seconds.
    D. Madness - Now affects all enemies - Deals 6% of total HP as damage on target upon proc and the target deals 20% less damage for 20 seconds afterwards.
    E. Frostbite - Initial HP loss on proc has been lowered to 6% from 10%.
    F. Bleed - HP loss has been lowered to 9% from 15% per proc.
    G. Sleep - For 20 seconds after proc, reduces the damage the target deals and increases the damage the target receives. (Most enemies, even if they have no sleep animation will still receive sleep procs.)
  1. The great runes have been redesigned:
  1. Godrick’s Great Rune - 

Increases Total HP by 10% and increases runes gained by 10%.

  1. Radahn’s Great Rune -

Increases total HP by 10% and increases Endurance by 5.

Progression Changes:

  1. You begin the game with the Spectral Steed Whistle.
  2. The first encounter with Melina has been removed.
  3. The Melina encounters in Leyndell have been removed except the one after defeating Morgott.
  4. All maps are revealed from the start of the game.
  5. The Crafting Kit, the Whetstone Knife and the Flask of Wondrous Physick are now found in the room that your character spawns in at the start of the game.
  6. All weapon affinities are unlocked at the start of the game.
  7. All talisman slots are unlocked at the start of the game.
  8. All characters start with 3 spell slots.
  9. Area scaling of the game has been adjusted in numerous ways to better support a more open-world model.
  10. Each flask reinforcement can be done with only one Golden Seed per flask use.
  11. All talismans and physick tears are now acquired through a new system found in the grace menu called “Remnant Crafting.” Physick tears are crafted using new items called Physick Remnants which are found on Erdtree Avatars and Erdtree Sentries. Talismans are crafted using other various remnants that are found throughout the world.
  12. Each minor Ertree and many other locations now have portals near them. These portals form a new travel system allowing for faster movement across the world. Each portal will activate when the Erdtree Sentry or Erdtree Avatar next to the portal is defeated. You may travel to any other portal from any portal but you cannot travel from a portal until the sentry or avatar is dead. 
  13. Ashen Capital is now accessed after burning the Erdtree the first time either with Melina or with the frenzy quest. Defeating Maliketh no longer causes the player to teleport to Ashen Capital.
  14. Farum Azula is now accessed two ways. One entrance is via a portal behind the Beast Sanctum in Caelid. The other is via one of the portals at The Four Belfries.
  15. Weapon reinforcement has been redesigned: All weapons will now be reinforced to +10 at maximum and the amount of damage and scaling benefit between standard and somber reinforcement are identical. See the tables below for reinforcement details.

  2. The festival in Redmane Castle can now only be triggered by defeating the boss in the Redmane courtyard.
  3. Each class will be teleported to a unique starting location after the first room their character spawns in at the beginning of the game.
  4. Summoning spirit ashes now gives the player a debuff that reduces the player’s total HP, FP and SP by a percentage. The percentage reduction is greater depending on the power level of the summon. A spirit ash’s reinforcement level does not affect the strength of the debuff.
  5. All medallion lifts are unlocked at the start of the game. The medallions are no longer needed to operate them.
  6. Leyndell is now accessible from the start of the game.

All boss offense and defense have been adjusted to better suit the new balance of the mod. Boss damage resistances have been dramatically changed. No boss is more than 50% resistant to any single damage type.

  3. The unique jumping attack of the Beastman’s Curved Sword has been added to the jumping attacks of Bandit’s Curved Sword, Serpent God Curved Sword and the Falchion.
  4. The light attacks of Morgott’s Cursed Sword now use the animation of the Knight’s Greatsword light attacks.
  5. The heavy attacks of the Monk’s Flameblade now use the animation of the Flamberge’s heavy attacks.
  6. The heavy attacks of the Nagakiba now use the animations of the Meteoric Ore Blade’s heavy attacks.
  7. The heavy attacks of the Knight’s Twin Swords now use the animation of the Godskin Peeler’s heavy attacks.
  8. The default moveset for all Hammers now moves the character slightly more forward when attacking and is slightly faster.
  9. The Morning star and the Scepter of the All-Knowing now use the default hammer moveset.
  10. The default moveset of all Greataxes is now slightly faster.
  11. All Flail heavy attacks are now faster.
  12. The Iron Cleaver now uses the Club moveset.
  13. The Butchering Knife now uses default Greataxe heavy attacks.

  15. Serpent Hunter has been removed from the game.
  16. The Mohgwyn Sacred Spear heavy attacks now use the animation of the Tree Spear’s heavy attacks.
  17. The default heavy attack of all Halberds is now the animation for the heavy attacks of the Lucerne.
  18. The default heavy attack of all Reapers is now the animation for the heavy attacks of the Scythe.

Note: Even with the ability to add new animations, adding new Ash of Wars and Weapon Skills, is not currently possible. The system works very differently than previous games and the process is still being ironed-out. So in order to add our new weapon skills for our new unique weapons, we had to cut many of the vanilla Ash of Wars for now.

Staff and Seal Changes:

Casting tools no longer cause bonus damage to a given magic school. A staff or a seal will deal more damage or less damage for spells cast of given damage types. This is the magic affinity system. The details of this system can be seen below:

  1. Sorcery scrolls and incantation prayerbooks have been removed. Spells are now learned by using new consumables called spell runes. Each spell school has 5 spell runes in various locations in the world. When consumed, a spell rune will auto-loot several spells to your character.

Crafting Changes:

  1. All cookbooks are unlocked at the start of the game.
  2. The requirement for Cracked Pots, Ritual Pots and Perfume Bottles has been removed. All craftable items can be crafted with the materials alone.
  3. All crafted consumables have been changed to make Arcane the primary stat they scale with.
  4. The item amount that is crafted of most consumables and ammunition has been increased each time you craft.
  5. Glintstone Scraps, Large Glintstone Scraps, Explosive Stones, Explosive Stone Clumps, Poison Stones, Poison Stone Clumps, Gravity Stone Chunks and Gravity Stone Fans are now craftable.

Talisman and Physick Changes:

  1. Most talismans and Physick Tears have been changed in some way, either improved or rebalanced. Some talismans have been combined into one talisman that has the effects of two from base game in order to increase their power level. As a result some talismans have been removed entirely.
  2. All talismans and Physick Tears are now crafted with remnants in the remnant crafting menu found at graces. Combat, Enchanted and Heirloom Remnants are found throughout the world in various locations. Relic Remnants are only dropped by main progression bosses. Essence, Elemental, Prowess, Invigorating and Enduring Physick Remnants are dropped by Erdtree Avatars and Erdtree Sentries.
